will again be supporting Shirley Robertson in her forthcoming campaign for Beijing 2008. Shirley will be an ambassador for the Isle of Wight, as a vibrant and beautiful place to live, work and visit.
Mike King, Managing Director of the Isle of Wight Economic Partnership says, “Shirley is a wonderful example of the spirit and desire for success that exists on the Isle of Wight.”
He continues, “Shirley is proof of the success that can be achieved on the Isle of Wight – she has based gold medal winning campaigns from here, many of the specialist equipment for her Ynglings are designed and produced by Island companies and now she has chosen to raise her family here on the Isle of Wight – we are proud to be a main partner in her forthcoming campaign!”
Shirley has played in key role in promoting the Isle of Wight over the past two years as well as being very involved in the Isle of Wight Economic Partnership’s Inspire project, which aims to raise the profile of the Island as a business, leisure and lifestyle destination but also to raise the aspirations of and inspire young people to achieve their full potential.
