Quotes from voyage participants – Marquesas to Tahiti

Kimberly Maudsley, aged 16 from Manchester said,
“I think the whole trip was a trip of a lifetime and I would do it again with Antonia and Brucey.I loved every single minute of it and I’m going to ask if I can sail on her again!”

Charlie Riley, aged 16 from the Isle of Wight said,
“The whole of the time I was there I felt safe and part of a family. I would do it again if I was given half a chance, it was a trip of a lifetime. I am definitely going to do more sailing, this has made me even more confident and determined to sail. I’m going into Marine Engineering as a career.”

Emmanuel Oladipo, aged 16 from Manchester said,
“I am so glad I was able to sail on Gipsy Moth, it was amazing, the best time of my life. Antonia and Brucey were so much fun to sail with, I hope our paths will cross again in the future.”

Mrs Olugoyin Oladipo (Emmanuel Oladipo (Little Hulton, Manchester))

“I have spoken with Emmanuel and I’ve been kept fully informed about the incident by the UKSA. I am very confident and positive about the way this has been managed. Emmanuel and fellow crew member Charlie from the Isle of Wight have developed a very strong friendship during the voyage, he has had a great time.”

Carole Maudsley (Kim Maudsley (Bridgeshaw, Manchester))

“I have spoken with Kim, they are having a great time swanning it up in Tahiti! We are very relaxed about what has happened, its just one of those things. I am completely happy with the way this has been managed under difficult circumstances.”
