GMIV DVD Part 1 -

Titled ‘Rebirth of a Legend – Part 1 The Rescue, Refit and Departure…’ and priced at £11.21, the film contains incredibly detailed footage of the restoration including boat building techniques of a bygone age resurrected and learned by a new generation of draftsmen and labourers. All the proceeds from the DVD will go towards funding deserving young people to take part in Gipsy Moth’s round the world voyage. 

Hours of valuable footage of both the restoration and milestone events captured by the project’s broadcast partner, Splash Broadcast have been edited by Isle of Wight based Solent TV to provide a lasting record of the first part of the most groundbreaking maritime project of our time. The film takes viewers on a journey beginning with Yachting Monthly editor Paul Gelder’s campaign to ‘Stop the Rot’ right through to the yacht’s grand departure from Plymouth on her second global circumnavigation with input from round the world yachtswoman, Dame Ellen MacArthur MBE, Sir Francis Chichester’s son, Giles Chichester, Project Founder Paul Gelder of Yachting Monthly and Global Project Manager David Green.

Storm Attache -

Anybody who travels for pleasure or business knows the importance of a tough, well designed and organised attaché. Using a sturdy ballistic nylon fabric, the Gipsy Moth IV attaché has two large compartments with space for files plus charts; one of which has an extensive organiser. The internal laptop compartment is padded for safe transportation (dimension - 35 x 25 x 7cm) along with external padded mobile phone housing. To finish off there is a detachable padded shoulder strap and a leather reinforced handle.
