Virtual Chart Explanation & Thanks
The display above shows the position of Gipsy Moth IV as she undertakes her second circumnavigation. As with the virtual cockpit this data the psoition is updated hourly with data sent direct from GMIV using B&G's Deckman TT Reporter via the Nera Sat C system. The University of Plymouth have also been a great help in assisting with the technical development of the virtual chart.
We would like to thank the Admiralty for providing all of the paper charts onboard Gipsy Moth IV and C-Map for provding a full set of electronic charts. The images in the dispay above are not intended to reflect either an Admiralty chart or a C-Map electronic chart, but are there for illustrative purposes. As with all our supporters we are very greatful for the support from the Admiralty and C-Map, every contribution enables us to focus more of our funds on providing opportunities for deserving young adults to embark on this chance of a lifetime experience.
