Gipsy Moth Trust – Booking Terms & Conditions
Bookings received for sailing trips on board Gipsy Moth IV will be confirmed upon receipt of payment. The Gipsy Moth Trust and its trading subsidiary Gipsy Moth Experience reserves the right to amend or cancel sailing trips based on weather and the decision made by the skipper is final.
Any trips cancelled by the Gipsy Moth Trust or Gipsy Moth experience will be refunded less any bank charges and limited to course or passage fees only, however, any booking cancelled by yourself will be charged as detailed below
- Cancellations within 40 days of trip date – No refund (unless trip is resold at full original value when any refund will be less bank charges.)
- Cancellation greater than 40 days of trip date – Refund of amount paid less any bank charges and an admin fee of £50
This privacy notice applies to The Gipsy Moth Trust and its trading subsidiary Gipsy Moth Experience Ltd. It explains how we use any personal information that we collect about you.
What information do we collect about you?
We collect information about you when you become a ‘Friend’ of Gipsy Moth or join ‘The Gipsy Moth Family’. This personal information comprises name, address, email address and confirmation that you are/are not a UK taxpayer.
If you have booked a sailing experience on Gipsy Moth IV you will have completed a brief medical questionnaire which provides the same contact information, but also some medical detail and information about your next of kin. This is for your own security when you sail with us, and is also a requirement for insurance cover for GMIV.
How will we use this information about you?
We will use the information we collect to circulate our digital newsletters and inform you of future events.
Who might we share information with? For how long?
We do not share your information with any other organisation for any purpose.
The medical questionnaire completed before sailing with us will be seen by the professional skipper/mate responsible for your wellbeing when on board. These forms are passed to the Trust as soon as your event is completed and the medical/next of kin information provided will not be retained in any format. Should you wish us to retain it for a limited period of 12 months (in case you plan to sail again within this time frame) you will be asked for permission to do so. No medical details will retained for longer than 12 months as it may by then be out of date.
How can I access the information you hold about me?
You have a right to request a copy of the information we hold about you. Please write or email the Trust at the addresses at the top of this notice.
We have an obligation to ensure that your personal information is accurate and up-to-date. Please ask us to up-date (or remove) any details if they are incorrect.
