Passage from the Solent to Jersey for the Jersey International Boat Show – A unique opportunity to cross the Channel in this iconic yacht to the beautiful island of Jersey, taking in the Needles as you depart the Solent and then the infamous Alderney race (weather permitting) and finally passing Herm and Guernsey before arriving in St Helier

Jersey International Boat Show – Gipsy Moth IV will be open for public viewing during show hours, step aboard and see how Chichester sailed solo around the world in 1966-67

Available for charter, either individually or as a group for the morning, afternoon or evening champagne cruise along the beautiful coast of Jersey, taking in the sights of St Aubin’s bay, Noirmont point and Corbiere lighthouse

Departing St Helier and riding the strong channel island tides north, passing Guernsey, Herm and Sark before passing through the infamous Alderney race and onwards across the channel arriving into the Solent through the Needles

Join the crew on this fantastic race along the south coast from Cowes to Eddystone Lighthouse off Plymouth and back. Run by the Royal Ocean Racing Club (RORC) this can be booked as part of the Fastnet campaign as a qualifying race or individually as a one off.

Be part of the biggest yacht race in the world as approximately 1800 boats race around the Isle of Wight. This is truly one of sailing great spectacles. Join Gipsy Moth IV on Friday for some pre-race practice and then enjoy the race hospitality before an early race start on Saturday.

Another Royal Ocean Racing Club (RORC) race that can be used as a qualifying race for the Fastnet campaign or booked individually. The race leaves Cowes and heads across the channel to Dinard and then on to St Malo where a great French welcome awaits.

This is truly one for the ‘Bucket list’. Join the crew for the world famous Fastnet race on one of the world’s most famous yachts, starting from Cowes, racing along the south coast, around the Fastnet rock of southern Irleand and then back to Plymouth. One of sailings great races and as places are limited book early. The Fastnet campaign package includes the following:

There are many days during the season when Gipsy Moth IV will be operating half day and full days trips from various ports. These can be booked as individuals or groups. If you have a particular date or occasion in mind please email.

Gipsy Moth Trust  – Booking Terms & Conditions

Bookings received for sailing trips on board Gipsy Moth IV will be confirmed upon receipt of payment. The Gipsy Moth Trust and its trading subsidiary Gipsy Moth Experience reserves the right to amend or cancel sailing trips based on weather and the decision made by the skipper is final.

Any trips cancelled by the Gipsy Moth Trust or Gipsy Moth experience will be refunded less any bank charges, however, any booking cancelled by yourself will be charged as detailed below

  • Cancellations within 40 days of trip date – No refund (unless trip is resold at full original value when any refund will be less bank charges.)
  • Cancellation greater than 40 days of trip date – Refund of amount paid less any bank charges and an admin fee of £50

Gipsy Moth Trust  – Privacy Policy

This privacy notice applies to The Gipsy Moth Trust and its trading subsidiary Gipsy Moth Experience Ltd. It explains how we use any personal information that we collect about you.

What information do we collect about you?

We collect information about you when you become a ‘Friend’ of Gipsy Moth or join ‘The Gipsy Moth Family’. This personal information comprises name, address, email address and confirmation that you are/are not a UK taxpayer.

If you have booked a sailing experience on Gipsy Moth IV you will have completed a brief medical questionnaire which provides the same contact information, but also some medical detail and information about your next of kin.  This is for your own security when you sail with us, and is also a requirement for insurance cover for GMIV.

How will we use this information about you?

We will use the information we collect to circulate our digital newsletters and inform you of future events.

Who might we share information with?  For how long? 

We do not share your information with any other organisation for any purpose.

The medical questionnaire completed before sailing with us will be seen by the professional skipper/mate responsible for your wellbeing when on board.  These forms are passed to the Trust as soon as your event is completed and the medical/next of kin information provided will not be retained in any format.  Should you wish us to retain it for a limited period of 12 months (in case you plan to sail again within this time frame) you will be asked for permission to do so. No medical details will retained for longer than 12 months as it may by then be out of date.

How can I access the information you hold about me?

You have a right to request a copy of the information we hold about you. Please write or email the Trust at the addresses at the top of this notice.

We have an obligation to ensure that your personal information is accurate and up-to-date. Please ask us to up-date (or remove) any details if they are incorrect.

All trips on board Gipsy Moth IV can be booked as individual places or groups (up to the number of passengers shown on the event below), or you can book the entire boat for yourself and your friends or colleagues for a truly memorable day.

You can be involved with the sailing as much or as little as you like and experience the true adrenalin of sailing as it was 50 years ago in what can only be described as one of the world's most famous yachts.

As events tend to book up quite early and spaces are limited we would advise that you book as early as possible.

You can book as an individual, group or have the boat to yourselves.A qualified skipper and mate will be provided - Lunch and wet weather gear is provided if required.
