To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Francis Chichester completing the first solo circumnavigation of the world in 1967, Gipsy Moth IV will be circling Britain and now is the chance of a lifetime to be part of the action.

A chance in a lifetime to sail as it was done 50 years ago and arrive into the “Britain’s Ocean City”, Plymouth and be part of the festivities in the run up to the start of the 2017 OSTAR and TWOSTAR races.

Be part of the amazing first leg of Gipsy Moth Circles Britain. Departing Plymouth with the 2017 OSTAR Fleet after a flyby from the Red Arrows. Sailing along the South West coast and then turning around Land’s End before proceeding up the Irish Sea to Milford Haven for a true sailor’s welcome.

The challenging and beautiful stage. Sailing from Oban, across to Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis, where we will stop for two days allowing plenty of time for you to take in the local sights and hospitality. Leaving Stornoway for the passage ‘across the top’ , sailing through the infamous Pentland Firth, passing John ‘O’ Groats and then turning south towards Aberdeen. If you are looking for challenge but still want some spectacular scenery then this is the stage for you.

All trips on board Gipsy Moth IV can be booked as individual places or groups (up to the number of passengers shown on the event below), or you can book the entire boat for yourself and your friends or colleagues for a truly memorable day.

You can be involved with the sailing as much or as little as you like and experience the true adrenalin of sailing as it was 50 years ago in what can only be described as one of the world's most famous yachts.

As events tend to book up quite early and spaces are limited we would advise that you book as early as possible.

You can book as an individual, group or have the boat to yourselves.A qualified skipper and mate will be provided - Lunch and wet weather gear is provided if required.
